FYI A HOWL PARADE IS …spine tingling horror for animal lovers, but completely impossible to resist for all. Once a year, little and big four-legged beings that live in our houses descend into the streets of Old Fourth Ward and/or the Beltline Path in the form of the HOWLoween Pet Parade. Their DNA being 99% wild wolf, they ingeniously take over Howl Street — a thundering herd of low-riding, both fluffy and smooth, sometimes drooling creatures with their tongues hanging out, dragging their captive humans behind them.
First comes the distant, blood-chilling howling and woof, woof, woofs, then the terrifying click-clack of hundreds claws of all sizes. These short-legged beasts offer zero mercy—only aggressive demands for head pets, belly rubs and treats.
